Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Marketplace Innovation Manager to lead the development and execution of new e-commerce marketplace initiatives. This role involves identifying opportunities, conducting in-depth research, and managing projects from inception to completion, with a focus on expanding our presence in the current and emerging marketplace landscape. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in the growth of our marketplace operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Assessment:
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities in the current and emerging e-commerce marketplace, including platforms such as TikTok, international markets, and others.
- Conduct thorough market research to assess feasibility and demand for new initiatives.
- Develop and refine strategies for entering new marketplace segments.
- Project Management:
- Create comprehensive project plans for marketplace initiatives, outlining key milestones and objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of each project from inception to completion.
- Ensure alignment among all stakeholders, meeting project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Marketplace Rollout:
- Execute a well-planned and smooth introduction of new e-commerce marketplace initiatives.
- Develop marketing and communication strategies to promote the marketplace to clients and end-users.
- Collaborate closely with the Tech teams to ensure a seamless technical launch and effective reporting.
- Client Pitching:
- Prepare and deliver persuasive pitches to potential clients and internal Brand Strategy team members, emphasizing the benefits and opportunities of the marketplace.
- Address client questions and concerns regarding new marketplace initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the marketplace's operational and financial aspects to provide comprehensive answers.
- Operations Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations department to facilitate the onboarding process for clients joining the marketplace.
- Identify and allocate resources necessary to support and sustain marketplace projects.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between operations and the marketplace team for efficient project execution.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in e-commerce marketplace strategy, development, and management.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client pitches and internal collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of marketplace operations and financial aspects.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving marketplace growth and success.

SALARY RANGE - $100,000 - $130,000
