Bio
Daan’s aim is to wage war on bad design and make the world a more beautiful place for the next generation. Born to fashion and furniture designers, Daan developed an early enthusiasm for building things that people enjoy looking at. After studying Fashion and Branding, he started to work in advertising. Soon after, he started his own first digital agency which merged with the Agency Ottonico.
Together with Tim Weers, he founded Build in Amsterdam. Daan is responsible for the signature aesthetic of Build in Amsterdam. Through his sportsman background, he brings an athlete-style work ethic and a focus on achieving pure performance. When not in meetings, Daan spends time with his two daughters or plans his next outdoor adventure with Tim.
