Most industry gatherings adhere to a familiar playbook: a sequence of podium presentations, slide decks, and rehearsed pitches. Origin Point, a curated summit hosted by Thrive Advisory Group founders Jacqueline Jacques and Noah Voreades, was engineered to abandon that framework. Free from sales pitches and performative presentations, it gathered founders, investors, service providers, and ingredient suppliers as equal peers across the health and wellness ecosystem.
Front Row sponsored the event and sat down with Jacqueline afterward to unpack what came out of it. One theme dominated every conversation in the room: AI, and what it's already doing to the wellness industry.
AI showed up everywhere, and the conversations focused on the possibilities
That's the detail worth sitting with. Front Row's Jacquie Johnson, VP of Business Development, put her finger on it directly: "the one thing that wasn't addressed was where the media spends all of their energy, the negative side of AI. The conference focused on how AI is helping to enhance wellness and the conversations were generally positive." In plenty of industries, AI conversations carry real dread and fear. At Origin Point, they didn't.
Part of that comes from where the industry has been stuck. Access to care, access to good data, access to the right product the first time: these have been bottlenecks for years. One standout moment came from Jacob Peters of Superpower on personalized healthcare, with Jacquie reflecting that "the amount of data we have channeled properly can be so helpful. But then over data collecting can also make us so stressed out on the other side." The room landed on the side of hopeful: the goal now is making data usable, not just collectible.

For VMS brands specifically, AI is becoming a quality filter
Here's the part that should matter most to vitamin, mineral, and supplement brands. AI search has a bias. In Jacqueline's words, "AI favors the strength of science and the strength of data, that ends up pulling more of that to the top" and suppressing what doesn't meet the bar.
Translate that into practical terms: instead of a consumer trying ten products before finding the one that fixes their sleep, "maybe AI helps me really circumvent that and get it right the first time," as Jacqueline put it, "so that I get my positive outcome much faster." For brands, the implication is direct: efficacy and evidence are becoming the mechanism by which products get found at all. Jacqueline called it the thing that finally "helps us get towards personalization," something the industry has chased for years without quite reaching.
This connects to a shift in how people search. Jacquie Johnson didn't mince words about why: "the algorithms have changed along with consumer behavior, we are now asking Claude and chat, hey, I've got a pain specifically on my right lower abdomen, what's happening." Search has gone from keyword matching to problem solving, and Amazon's own search changes are following that shift.

Innovation has moved past the gummy
Beyond AI, a quieter but just as important thread ran through the event: format innovation. Wellness is no longer confined to things you swallow or apply. It's showing up in what people wear, what they eat, and how those categories blur together. The old, tidy buckets of drugs, supplements, and products are dissolving, and founders in the room were visibly energized by figuring out what comes next.
Women's health got real airtime, by design
Origin Point made equal representation a deliberate goal, not an afterthought, and it showed. On the historic data gap in women's health, Jacqueline was clear-eyed: "the lack of data is not a thing that you sort of snap your fingers and recover from overnight, but at least in sort of ripping the bandage off and opening the door to more of that happening, I think it accelerates the process of kind of course correcting."
The founder origin story is doing more work than brands realize
One pattern kept resurfacing in conversation after conversation: founders building companies because they personally hit a wall. Jacqueline summed up the pattern she heard again and again: "I started this because I couldn't find this. I started this because someone in my family had this experience... I was looking for solution X for problem Y and was shocked that it didn't exist." As search shifts toward problem-solution queries, that kind of story stops being a nice founder bio and starts being the actual marketing hook.
It's also tied to a deeper truth about why events like this matter: connecting founders with other innovators in a collaborative space. Origin Point's real value was giving people that rare and trusted room.
The takeaway for brands on Amazon
Nobody at Origin Point expressed reluctance about being on Amazon. As Jacqueline put it plainly, "I can't think of anyone that I've ever talked to who's like, I don't want my product on Amazon." The hesitation founders described wasn't about whether to be there, it was about how, and several had been burned by bad guidance early on at real financial cost.
The fix isn't avoiding the platform, rather connecting it. Jacqueline described the disconnect she sees constantly: "sometimes it's hard to almost know that it's the same brand that you're seeing on Instagram or TikTok that you're seeing on Amazon." Rather than frantically bouncing from launch to launch, the leading brands succeed by unifying their presence across every channel into a single cohesive strategy.
Origin Point wrapped its first year with a clear mandate for round two: more of the candor, more of the peer-to-peer structure, and a continued front-row seat to where AI takes this industry next.
