We're currently on Magento and considering a move to Shopify Plus. How do we know if it's the right call?

For most beauty and wellness brands at growth stage, Shopify Plus offers faster development cycles, a more manageable operational overhead, and a stronger app ecosystem than Magento at a lower total cost of ownership. The cases where staying on Magento makes sense are brands with deeply custom ERP integrations or catalog complexity that Shopify's architecture genuinely can't accommodate. We assess that honestly before recommending a migration, and we'll tell you if the move isn't warranted.

How do you approach the migration without losing our SEO rankings?

SEO preservation is built into our migration process from day one, including URL mapping, 301 redirect architecture, canonical tags, structured data, and sitemap submission all handled as part of the migration plan rather than addressed after rankings drop. We've run enough migrations to know where SEO equity gets lost and what the specific interventions are to protect it. Post-migration monitoring is included so any ranking movements get caught and addressed immediately.

How long does a Shopify Plus build typically take?

A standard build — design, development, app integrations, content migration, and QA — typically runs eight to twelve weeks. Complex builds with custom functionality, large catalog migrations, or intricate ERP integrations run longer. We scope precisely at project kickoff and build in milestone checkpoints so there are no timeline surprises mid-build.

Do you design the site as well as build it, or do we need to bring our own design?

We do both. Our preferred model is design and development under one roof. The team that builds the site is the team that designed it, which means no brief lost in translation between an external design agency and a development team. If you have existing brand assets or a design direction you want to build from, we work with that. If you need design from scratch, we handle it.
