Effective January 1, 2027, Sabine Jünger will take over leadership of the Front Row Group in Europe as Managing Director Europe. The former Vice President OTTO Advertising will form the management team together with Daniel Andrlik, who is responsible for ecommerce management, Benjamin Weyrich, who as Chief Product Officer also oversees product development for the entire group, and Niall Donohoe, who leads the B2B marketing division. Founders Jan Bechler, Tim Nedden, and Björn Sjut will step down from the management team in spring 2027, but will remain actively involved in the company in operational roles.
Front Row Europe, founded in 2014 as Finc3 by Bechler, Nedden, and Sjut, has played a major role in shaping digital ecommerce marketing in Europe, particularly in the areas of Amazon Marketplace and Retail Media. In 2022, it joined forces with the US marketplace accelerator Fortress Brand. One of the goals was to expand into additional agency verticals. Since 2023, the agency group has operated under the name Front Row. Front Row Europe today includes ecommerce management, the global software product business under the Catapult brand, B2B digital marketing, and D2C online store development under the Build brand in Amsterdam. Front Row continues to grow at a strong double-digit annual rate and now has more than 600 colleagues worldwide, half of whom are based in Europe.
With Jünger, Front Row is gaining one of the defining figures in European ecommerce marketing. From 2015 to 2020, she was responsible for agency partnerships at Amazon in her role as Head of Agency. Since 2021, she has built up OTTO's retail media business with the goal of strategically expanding it and establishing retail media as the third central pillar of the platform model alongside the retail and marketplace businesses. Through self-service offerings and consistent scaling, she helped bring OTTO's advertising business up to an international level. Before that, she held leadership roles at Premiere, AOL, SPIEGEL, and Pinterest.
"Front Row was one of the first ecommerce marketing agencies to play a major role in shaping the transformation of retail marketing, which began with Amazon and today goes far beyond it. My goal is to support brands and advertisers holistically across platforms, formats, and the entire funnel - from OTTO to Amazon to TikTok and TV. As the Front Row team, we use technology to take commerce marketing to the next level," says Jünger.
The other managing directors, Weyrich, Andrlik, and Donohoe, as well as the leadership team of Build in Amsterdam, are already part of the Front Row leadership team today. As Chief Product Officer of the Front Row Group, Weyrich and his team are responsible for developing the BI and AI suite Catapult. Andrlik leads ecommerce management and specializes in integrating channels - from Amazon and Shopify to TikTok Shop. Donohoe heads the B2B digital marketing division from Bratislava.
Bechler, Nedden, and Sjut will remain with Front Row as Founding Partners and, in addition to operational topics, will increasingly focus on strategic development in the future, including M&A, building new service areas, and implementing AI in agency processes. They will remain shareholders of the agency group.
"At Amazon, Sabine was a driving force behind a vibrant retail media agency ecosystem, and she then guided OTTO into the international top tier of retail media platforms. She is exactly the person we had hoped for to help Benjamin, Niall, and Daniel continue growing our 'baby.' On a personal level, we are also very much looking forward to continuing to work with her and the existing team, because one thing matters to us: we are staying at Front Row - just no longer in the front row," says Jan Bechler, who is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Front Row Group.
